The girls and I were talking about possible Christmas presents for Austin. I mentioned that he could use a new dress shirt.
Claire: I don't what to be the kind of person who gives clothes for Christmas!

Eve was telling us about making cookies in their choir group to take to a nursing home and a pre-school they were singing at. When they got to both they weren't allowed to share the cookies because of food safety and wearing gloves and that sort of thing.
Me: What did you do with the cookies then.
Eve: We ate them.
Claire: Well I hope you didn't eat them in front of the kids!
