Missouri Trip

We were able to travel to Missouri to celebrate Gramma and Grampa Leyburn's 50th Wedding Anniversary.  The girls and I left on Friday, July 4th and drove halfway through Nebraska, stopped for the night, and arrived at their house around 9:30 pm the next day.  It was a good drive together with no problems-- lots of stops for McDonald's sundaes, lots of treats, and lots of Harry Potter audio book among other audio books.  

Uncle Doug and Aunt Sheryl arrived on Tuesday, Mike and Lorie and their family arrived on Wednesday, John and Chris arrived on Thursday, and Saturday Heather and her girls arrived.  The Celebration took place on Saturday.

The girls had a great time--

• Playing with cousins they had really never met before.
• Riding a horse.
• Seeing and catching lightning bugs.
• Helping grampa paint his workshop.
• Playing with Ginger.
• Swinging on the tire swing.
• Hanging out with Grampa and Gramma.
• Eating great food.
• and just "plain being in Missouri." --direct quote from Megan.
