There is a show on PBS called Fetch and it's like a game show hosted by a cartoon dog called Ruff Ruffman. Evie calls him Ruff Ruff Man. In this show kids are given tasks and win points and it teaches different things depending on the task. Evie is always telling us something that seems above a 5 year old's knowledge and when we ask her where she learned it she tells us that she learned it from Ruff Ruff Man.
The other day we were eating breakfast and on the back of the box it had a thing about finger prints and Evie goes on to show Austin how certain parts are called "arches" and other parts are called "loops". Of course Austin was surprised-- how would a 5 year old know about fingerprints? When asked about it, she learned from Ruff Ruff Man. It's crazy what kids learn and pick up!
