We took a weekend trip to Denver via Amtrak before the school year started. Left Provo around 4 in the morning. Was supposed to get to Denver around 6pm but there was a mudslide on the tracks and delayed us for 4 hours! Had fun on the train though-- read books, looked at the scenery. During the mudslide delay the conductor came to the observation car and played guitar and sang songs.
In Denver we went to the museum, walked around the city, ate good food, and went to the Molly Brown house/museum.
