Christmas Trip

We were able to go to Disneyland for the long Christmas weekend. We went to La Jolla Beach on Friday, Knott's berry park for Saturday, Disneyland for Monday, and Huntington Beach on Monday (Christmas).

We had a good time and the girls did really good. Here are some pictures of the trip.

La Jolla Beach
These are seals that were laying on the beach. They just looked like rocks at first, and it took me to little bit to realize what I was looking at. Austin was trying to help Evie realize what they were and he asked her "What's special about those rocks," hoping that she would notice that some of them were moving. She responded, "Father made them."

Knott's Berry Farm

Disneyland

Before Disneyland Austin got the girls excited by telling them that the princesses lived in the castle at Disneyland. When Megan saw the Castle she said "Evie, Look! The Castle! We got to get over there. We got to Evie, We got to!" Evie was really cute when we saw Tigger and Pooh Bear. She gave them both big hugs. Megan was interested, but didn't want to leave my hip. At Disneyland we were also able to see the Christmas Parade and the fireworks. The girls liked both. We were able to go on quite a few rides--most of which Megan hid her face in my arm. Evie went on Splash Mountain with Austin. She liked it except for the getting wet part. Then later I said that I wished something--I can't remember what-- and Evie said, "You can wish on a star." As we were leaving the park, Evie said, "I want to do this all my life."

Christmas Morning

Before the girls woke up Christmas Morning Austin went out to the car and got their gifts and brought them to the room. When Evie woke up we told her that Christmas was here and asked her if Santa came. She just looked around a little bit where she was sitting and we told her she better turn on all the lights so she could see better. She found the gifts arranged by the door and yelled to Megan that Santa had come.

Huntington Beach

This was a nice beach--about 70 degrees. The girls had fun playing in the sand and running away from the waves.
