Pooh Bear

For Evie's second Christmas, we got her a rather large stuffed Pooh Bear. She's slept with it ever since and it has turned out to be our bargaining/disciplining tool-- if she doesn't listen or obey sometimes Pooh Bear gets taken away. It seems to be the only thing that distresses her to the point of listening sometimes. One day when she was playing with it I told her that she got that Pooh Bear when she was 1.

So last night she wouldn't stay in bed after we had put her down for the night-- It was about 2 hours after we put her to bed and finally Austin said, ok Evie, bring me Pooh Bear. She said no a couple times but then came out of her room with Pooh Bear in her arms and tears just streaming down her face. She said "And me want my pooh bear, my pooh bear keep me safe!" through her tears. They she went on to tell us that "it's my first one birthday." Needless to say, her tears and fears that she wouldn't be safe without Pooh Bear made us send her back to bed with kisses and hugs and a warning that she better stay in bed then. She fell asleep shortly after :)
